A golf caddie that learns your real distances from the shots you log, then calls the club for any target — and tells you exactly how far to trust the call with a green / yellow / red confidence tier. Honest statistics, not a guess dressed up as advice.
Club, carry distance, and how far you missed left or right. Ten seconds after each swing — the only thing the app ever asks of you.
Every club's real average and spread, straight from your shots with a SQL GROUP BY. No guidebook numbers — yours.
Every shot plotted, left/right against carry, one colour per club. Watch your real shot pattern build up over a season.
Plotly scatterThe whole point. The Goose grades its own call on shot count, spread, and whether the target's inside your range — then tells you the truth.
🟢 🟡 🔴Add wind and temperature and the Goose shows what the shot actually plays like before it picks a club. Headwind and cold both cost you yards.
Everything lives in one local SQLite file. No account, no cloud, no sample data — the numbers are only ever the shots you logged.
For a target distance, the Goose picks the club whose average carry is closest, then grades its own certainty on three honest measures: how many shots you've logged with it, how tight the spread is (sample standard deviation), and whether the target sits inside the range you've actually hit. Ask for 300 when your longest is 250 and it goes red — the Goose won't pretend to know.
Free and open source. Runs on your own machine — log a few rounds and let the Goose learn your game.
